We worship every Sunday at 10:30am. All are welcome to join us as we learn together, share together and worship God.
Cornerstone is a friendly welcoming place where people can meet, relax and be refreshed.
It is home to Sandylands Methodist Church an inclusive friendly community with people of different ages and backgrounds. We are a group of individuals who are journeying together.
– We journey towards a closer relationship with God, enjoying relevant worship, and to commitment to prayer and sharing together.
– We journey in our love for one another, being there in both the challenging and the positive experiences in life, offering support and encouragement.
– We journey out in our community and world, committed to reaching out to those in need and sharing God’s love in practical ways.
Cornerstone is also home to a wide variety of activities and events for the whole community, these include youth activities, a craft group, friendship group, over 60s group.
The name Cornerstone was chosen as reminder that Jesus Christ is at the centre of all that goes on here and for his love to be the foundation of this place.
Everyone who uses the building is part of Cornerstone. It is a place where all are valued and welcomed and where each person has a part to play. Cornerstone is a place for our whole community to feel at home, offering a place of rest and relaxation, fun and laughter, food and hospitality.
Our MP Tim Farron officially opened Cornerstone in January 2012 after the existing buildings were extended and refurbished.
